Of my online empire, TimePoorBlogger is my primary love. I am not interested in affiliate marketing except as a means to an end. However, I always fancied myself as something of a scientist, experimenting, tweaking the parameters and cataloguing results. This blog will give me the opportunity to document my experiments in the making money online (MMO) land.

Why do I want to make money online? I have a job that pays reasonably well. However, it is no longer as stable as it was (is any job?) so income diversification is one reason. I would also like to treat myself and the wife from time to time. I will set a few goals to give myself something to aim at.

The first goal will be to pay for the MMO ebooks, domains and hosting which has already cost $300 and counting. After that it would be nice to cover my new toys (laptop and camera) which I like to tell myself will really help me out with the blogging.

Looking to the future if I manage to hit the $1500 / month mark I’ll be fairly happy with that, and I’m sure it is attainable with the time I have available. And of course, I do have some wild dreams involving selling up and moving to an idealic location if I get anywhere near $10,000 / month.

In common with you, I’m sure, I have limited time for my investigations and expect to spend around ten hours per week on average which will have to include the money making attempts and keeping this blog up to date. Therefore, if I can make money with the overhead of this blog and you have a similar amount of time, you should be able to do it too.

Why am I time poor? I work and IT and my job takes a good 10 hours out of my day and I’m also studying for an accounting qualification which eats into my evenings and weekends. In addition, it is another fulltime job keeping my 16 month daughter out of trouble. Something I will be looking into is to try and increase my free time. After all, time and money are duals.

What do I mean by "Making Mistakes…" ? Throughout this experiment I expect to follow many blind alleys and waste a lot of time. I’ll let you know about all of these so you can avoid them. I will also be playing with a lot of tools to help me manage my websites. Learning these will take me time which you will be able to save if you decide to use the same tools.
